Avenham

This body of work comprises a collection of images primarily centered around the areas of Sykes Hill and Stonegate. Each piece is grounded in a strong personal narrative, with every image encapsulating a distinct story. Several of the depicted locations are sites of layered histories, bearing witness to multiple events unfolding over the course of many years. Some were once places of worship or now-derelict buildings; others served as spaces of both danger and adventure. Despite their varied functions and atmospheres, all of these sites were intimately familiar to residents of Avenham and the surrounding areas, often serving as informal playgrounds for generations of local children. The images are presented at a scale of 28 cm x 18 cm.
